Hawaii K'au Yellow Caturra Miranda Farms Washed
Yes the coffee cherries are yellow!
Located on the K’au coffee region on the south side of the Hawaiian Island, Miranda Farms produces divine coffee—rivaling Kona in its quality and profile. Our favorite is the yellow caturra varietal, processed in the traditional washed style without additives, to produce a beautiful, mellow, flavorful and clean coffee. The twenty acre farm run by the faithful and laborious Miranda family grows their coffee at a 2,000 ft. elevation with the perfect mixture of volcanic soil from Mauna Loa and year-around shade.
At a medium roast, the robust bean size (extra fancy grade) produces a uniform roast bursting with flavor—berry and floral aromas lead into a sweet and complex desert like cup with notes of black grape, melon, Meyer lemon and milk chocolate.
